Summer 2024 in Burlington, Vermont!
Summer is a fantastic time to plan a trip around the many events happening in the Queen City. With so much to do, you can easily pack a long weekend with multiple activities and still find yourself missing out on some of the fun. There are street festivals, concerts by the lake, fairs, farmer’s markets and plenty more. Here are some highlights to help you make the most of your summer!

SB Nite Out at Veterans Memorial Park

SB Nite Out has become one of our most anticipated community events. In its 8th year, friends, family, and neighbors spend evenings in the park - listening to live music, enjoying different cuisines. Held on Thursday evenings, in late-June, July & August, you will find some of the best food trucks and local bands.

This year's lineup is sure to be a fun one. Don't miss it!

Kick Off with the South End Get Down
Start your weekend off by joining the party at South End Get Down, held every Friday night in Burlington's arts district. This lively event features a variety of food trucks serving up delicious and diverse offerings, along with a DJ spinning vinyl records to set the tone for the night. The funky, groovy, and fun music is a staple of South End Get Down, and you’ll probably hear something you’ve never heard before! This event comes highly recommended from all who attend!

Explore Farmer’s Markets
Farmer’s markets might be the quintessential Green State activity. Fresh produce and handmade crafts, supporting local business, the community immersion—all things that Vermont is known for doing very well. Throughout the summer, farmer’s markets are held across the state, and these markets are the best way to engage with the community!

Concerts on the Green
Ben & Jerry’s Concerts on the Green series brings national acts to Burlington, providing an excellent opportunity to enjoy live music in Shelburne’s beautiful outdoor setting. This year, the concert series is headlined by Train, Lake Street Dive, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, and Goth Babe. Learn more & purchase tickets here!

Indulge in Food and Drink Festivals
The Burlington Food & Wine Festival and Vermont Brewers Festival are must-visit events for anyone who loves good food and drink. Sample some of the finest local cuisine, and pair it with exceptional wines and craft beers! These festivals not only offer delicious tastings, they’re located right on Lake Champlain! The perfect backdrop for a fun-filled evening.

Fun for the Whole Family
If you’re in search of more excitement, check out Church Street’s Festival of Fools. This event, held from August 2-4, features some of the best international street performers from around the globe. And you won’t want to miss Sunday’s grand finale, where all the performers from the previous two days showcase their talents together!

We have to mention the legendary Champlain Valley Fair in Essex Junction. This event is the highlight of the summer, where people from across the country visit to join in on the festivities. Of course they’re bringing back demolition derby, figure 8 racing, pig racing, and all of your other favorite events. The Bud Light concert series includes performances by Flo Rida, Cole Swindell, Gin Blossoms, and Pentatonix. It’s going to be another incredible year at the Fair!

Breathe in the fresh air, soak in the sights and sounds of nature, and enjoy some nurturing exercise. Whether you’re walking solo or with a furry friend, a leisurely stroll through the park is the perfect way to unwind.
